Board members must be property owners or residents of the District. The Board includes five individuals elected by the community, each committing to a four-year term. Responsibilities of the Board include the determination of District policies, approval of the annual budget, construction contracts, establishment of rates and fees and a variety of other business. Meetings are held on the second Wednesday of each month at 6:00 pm and are open to the public.

Robert Chapman, Chairman

In 2005 he received the “Outstanding Board Member” award from the Special District Association for his contributions to the District. Bob and his wife, Mary Ann, have been residents of the Pinery since 1993. His key concern is that the District continues to have adequate water supplies for the future.

Walter Partridge, Secretary

Walt and his wife, Stephanie, have lived in the District for over seventeen years and have been actively involved in the community in various organizations. For over thirty years, Walt worked in the industrial explosives industry traveling worldwide for DuPont. In addition, he has also had a successful career as an Auctioneer. He is the past president of the Colorado Auctioneers Association, as well as past president of the Explosives Distributors Association. Walt also is a licensed Real Estate Agent. When not working, Walt enjoys spending time with his six children, twelve grandchildren and three great grandchildren; fishing, traveling and being active in his church. He is now looking forward to being an active member on the District’s Board.

Heidi Tackett, Director

Heidi Tackett recently joined our Board as a Director in August 2010.  She and her family moved to the Pinery, from Aurora, in August 2002.  Her work background is in healthcare – she was previously a Senior Account Manager for PacifiCare Health Systems – and her consulting business focuses on project management.  She has always been active in the business, school, and homeowner communities.  Her service includes the Aurora Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors for six years, serving as Chairperson from 00-01; the Leadership Aurora Board for six years, serving as Chairperson from 94-96; the Lake Shore Homeowners Association Board for three years; the Aurora Citizen’s Advisory Budget Committee for five years; and service on all of the School Accountability Committees in the Ponderosa feeder area since 2003.  Heidi lives in the District with her husband, Gary, their son, David, and their daughter, Rachel, and she is looking forward to her service on the Pinery Water Board.

Robert Greene, Director

Bob Greene, a retired Army Veteran, served previously on the Board from 1996 through 2010.  Bob has focused on the financial aspects of the District.  He wants to continue to ensure that new development pays for itself, operational and preventive maintenance costs meet the quality results all residents desire, and accomplish all of this while holding financial burdens on existing customers in proper balance against a challenging economy.  Bob and his wife, Irene, enjoy traveling and spending time with their seven grandchildren.  They have been residents of the Pinery since 1993, and own a small educational services firm.
